Escaping violence
It’s paramount to have a plan and now have the ability to fund that plan to escape a violent life. Please share this story to people needing help, thankfully it encompasses both men and women.
The new Escaping Violence Payment program started this week, delivering tailored assistance valued at up to $5,000 for people escaping violent relationships. This payment will assist women and men experiencing financial abuse and coercive control in violent relationships, which make it much more difficult to leave.
It is now available through service provider UnitingCare Australia Consortium – with up to $1,500 in cash and the remainder (up to $5000 total) available for goods, services and other supports to help establish a safe home.
